shout unto God

i'm in a dilemma.

do i do the 20d now?

can i wait for the d200? (supposedly out dec15)

do i wait for feb for 30d?

i need a camera in a couple of weeks (maybe)

i need a camera for post christmas (for sure).. that's it, other than photographic development (important - was shooting sunday. still learning). i'm ready to buy a system.

am i crazy?

do i wait forever?

what should i do?

The enemy has been defeated
And death couldn't hold You down
We're gonna lift our voice in victory
We're gonna make Your praises loud

Shout unto God with a voice of triumph
Shout unto God with a voice of praise
Shout unto God with a voice of triumph
We lift Your name up
We lift Your name up

there's some wicked drum action in this song. hillsongs. check it out.

i'll sell you my 300D... ha ha...

this is a common problem among macheads too... do I buy now, or do I wait until the next Macworld or the next announcement for something better? The best advice I have heard is: If you can wait, then wait. Otherwise buy what you need now, if you need it now. There will ALWAYS (I repeat, ALWAYS) be something better around the corner. Just get it, then put your head down and forget about it, otherwise you'll feel buyer's remorse when something else comes out.

At least if you get the Nikon, there won't be anything better from them for another 4 years... ;)

I'm trying to get in touch with Matt Mark (the author of this page) but he does not have any contact information on this blog (to thwart spammers I assume).... Anyone who can point me at his email without getting him loaded with spam? My email is (cleverly concealed!) in this comment's heading.

Ah... the age old dilemma of buy the best now or what for the next best thing. Generally speaking the new stuff has issues so buying something that's been out for awhile will save you some grief. In addition you usually overpay for things that just came out. Disclaim: I know nothing about cameras. I have a 2.1MP camera :) Happy holidays!!!
